We've just added whisper functionality to all of our VoIP incoming numbers. The whisper service allows you to define a recording to be played to the receiving party each time a call is connected - meaning you'll always know where a call comes from even if you call forward.

Whisper is essentially an audio version of our line display name feature. In some situations, it may not be possible to see the line that the call has come in on. This happens with calls that are forwarded to a mobile or landline, or picked up on an IP handset or adapter without any display.

With the whisper option, when you pick up a call, we play a brief recording, as defined by you, which identifies the line that the call is coming in on.

Whisper is perfect for mobile users, virtual assistant agencies or even call centres where the correct introduction is required consistently.
