If you have a Granstream Phone, that is showing the wrong time this morning (following the clock change), then this guide will help you to put this right.

For *ALL* Grandstream Phones, you will firstly need to know the IP address of the phone.  Press the round "Menu" button, in the middle of your arrow keys, and select "Status" from the menu.  The IP address should be shown on the display of your phone.

Using a web browser on your computer (Internet Explorer / Firefox / Chrome / Safari etc), type 'http://' and then the IP address of your phone.  For instance, if the IP address of your phone is 192.168.1.66, then you would type 'http://192.168.1.66' into the address bar of your internet browser.

You will see a Grandstream login page, the default password is 'admin'.

If you have one of the newer Grandstream phones (GXP1400 / GXP1405 / GXP2100 / GXP2110 / GXP2120) then skip over these next steps.  They are for the Legacy Grandstream phones only.

Legacy Grandstream Phones

Click "Basic Settings".  Near the bottom of the screen, you will see some settings relating to the time zone, as pictured below:

Ensure that Time Zone is set to GMT (London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Casablanca, Monrovia) and, Daylight Savings Time is set correctly.

The Optional Rule should be set as above, or 3,-1,7,1,0;10,-1,7,2,0;60.

Once this has been set, click 'Update' at the bottom of the page, then click 'Reboot' when prompted.  Now, your phone should automatically set the clock and, adjust it when the clocks go forward and back correctly.

Newer Grandstream Phones

Click "Settings", then "Basic Settings".  Near the bottom of the screen, you will see some settings relating to the time zone, as pictured below:

To have your Grandstream phone change its date / time automatically, change the Time Zone to "Self defined time zone" and, in the Self-Defined Time Zone box, type 'GMT+0GMT-1,M3.4.0/1,M10.4.0/2'

Please note, there is currently a bug in the way the time zone is interpreted.  Normally, this rule would need to be 'GMT+0GMT-1,M3.5.0/1,M10.5.0/2' (where the '5.0' represents the last Sunday of the month) but, owing to this bug, the '5th' occurrence of Sunday is never seen, as there are only 4 Sundays in March and October this year.

Once this has been set, click 'Update' at the bottom of the page and, click 'Reboot' when prompted.  Now, your phone should automatically set the clock and, adjust it when the clocks go forward and back correctly.
