Who is Soho66?
Soho66 is wholly owned and managed by PebbleTree Ltd; a UK registered and privately owned company. Soho66 is a one stop communications shop for small to medium sized businesses. Our technology enables users to keep all of their office IT and communication requirements together in one place. We provide a number of communication related services: Virtual receptionist, inbound telephone numbers, business extensions on our hosted office telephone system, domain hosting and ordering and secure email at your own domain. Our cost effective office solution makes it easier for our customers to control and administer their IT office services whilst keeping control of costs.

How often do you backup the data?
All the data regarding your user-base and configuration is backed up daily.

How do I subscribe to any of the services?
To subscribe to any of our services you need to sign up online. When you have registered you can select the services needed.

How long do I have to sign up for?
We do not have a minimum period you need to commit to.

How much does it cost to register?
It doesn’t cost anything to sign up to Soho66. However, we will change when you start to subscribe to any of our services.

Telephone Service and Numbering

What is Telephone Service and Numbering?
We use VoIP for our telephone service. Voice over IP (VoIP) lets people make telephone calls via the internet. VoIP converts the voice signal from an ordinary telephone into a digital signal, which travels over the internet, and then converts it back. With our VoIP service customers can make high quality calls worldwide through the internet. We provide telephone numbers and extension numbers.

How does the Telephone Service and Numbering work?
To subscribe to our Telephone service and Numbering, you will need to sign up online. It’s it easy, fast and simple. You will be able to administer everything from your online account. We can supply both geographical and non-geographical numbers. You select a phone number. You can choose to have the number delivered to a specific extension or you can select the option called “IVR prompt for extension”, if you have more than one extension.

What is the difference between numbers and extensions?
The difference between telephone numbers and extension are that people can phone a telephone number directly. An extension number is not a telephone number. Extensions can be added to a telephone system if needed. For example, a customer may have a small office with four people and one incoming telephone number. Instead of having four telephone numbers for the different people, they each have an extension number. Therefore, when customers telephone the office, they get through to the IVR which prompt them for the extension number needed. However, if the four office workers had their own telephone number, customer would be able to telephone them directly, instead of going through an IVR.

What are geographical and non-geographical numbers?
Geographical numbers are local area telephone numbers, for example the area number for Newcastle is 0191... An exapmle of a Non-geographical number is a telephone number that begins with 0800.

Fax to email

What is Fax to Email?
With our fax to email service customers can send and receive faxes to/from other fax machines using any email account.

How does Fax to Email work?
To subscribe to our Fax service, you will need to sign up online. It’s it easy, fast and simple. You will be able to administer everything from your online account. You select a fax number. From you mobile office account you will be able to specify the mailboxes the numbers are forwarded to, if you require more than one fax number and mailbox. We can provide both geographical number and non-geographic numbers. The users will be able to keep their numbers even if they don’t use them.

What is the difference between inbound and outbound fax?
Fax to email is inbound fax and Email to fax is outbound fax. No number is needed for outbound fax.

Do I need a Soho66 email account to use Fax to Email / Email to Fax
No. You can use any email account you want for this service.

How do I get a fax number?
You select a fax number when you sign you for the service. You will be able to choose a number from a list of different fax numbers.

How do I send an email to a fax?
Please follow the steps below to send an email to a fax: •Open a new email •Attach the document you want to fax •In the “To” field type your fax number and @fax.soho66.co.uk, for example 12345678900@fax.soho66.co.uk •Click the “Send” button

How do I receive faxes?
All the faxes you receive are delivered directly to your email.

What is a cover page?
A cover page is the front page of your fax.

What attachment types are supported for sending faxes
We support a wide range of attachments. These are Microsoft Word 97, 2000, XP, 2003, 2007(.doc, .dot, .docx, .xml), Adobe Acrobat(.pdf), Group 3 TIFF (.tif), ASCII Plain Text (.txt), Microsoft Excel 97, 2000, XP, 2003, 2007 Note: Only active worksheets will be faxed (.XLS, .XLSX), HTML files (.HTM/.HTML), MHT web archive files(.MHT), Windows URL files (.url) Note: The contents of the linked page will be faxed , Microsoft PowerPoint 97, 2000, XP, 2003, 2007 (PPT, PPTX), Non-animated GIF files (.gif), JPEG files (.JPG/.JPEG), PostScript (.PS), Encapsulated PostScript (.EPS), Rich Text Format (.RTF), Windows Bitmap (.BMP), PC Paintbrush Bitmap (.PCX), Microsoft Access Snapshot (Version 10 on Windows 2000) (.SNP), Any of the above file types may be compressed as a zip file. What is Telephone Conferencing?
Telephone Conferencing is a conference by telephone in which three or more persons in different locations participate by means of a central switching unit.

How does Telephone Conferencing work?
We provide two distinct teleconferencing services, which will each be suitable for different companies: * Subscription free teleconferencing service, and * Subscription based telephone conferencing service. The telephone conferencing services enables you to meet by telephone with your customers.

Please follow the step below to make a conference call: • Invite people to your conference call • Tell them your conference room number & participant pin number and ask them to dial our subscription free telephone service number, when you want to start the conference call.

How many participants can I invite to a conference call?
The maximum number of participants is 10. Please note that the quality of the conference call may be poor if you invite more than 10 people to participate.

Is there a limit to the duration or number of conference calls I can make?
No, make as many conference calls as you like, as often as you like.

Can I make a conference call from abroad?
Yes, it is possible to make a conference call from abroad.

Is the conference call service secure?
Yes, the service is secure. In order to enter your conference room, there are two separate pin numbers: A Guest Pin Number and a Leader Pin Number (the leader is the person who has arranged the conference call). The conference call can not take place without the leader. To ensure the conference is safe the leader should not give the leader pin number to anybody, but only give the guest pin number to participants. Guests can dial into the conference before the leader but the conference call won’t start before the leader joins. Each caller will be announced before joining the call, so you will always know how many people are in your conference and who they are.

Can I record my conference calls?
No, at the moment it is not possible to record conference calls. However, this feature may be available in the future.

Virtual Receptionist

What is Virtual Receptionist?
With our Virtual Receptionist you can have your calls professionally answered. You can divert your calls to our Virtual Receptionist service whenever you need to. We will send the messages to you via email or text message.

How does the Virtual Receptionist service work?
To subscribe to our Virtual Receptionist service, you will need to sign up online. It’s it easy, fast and simple. You will be able to administer everything from your online account. It will not take you long to supply the information we need to answer your telephone calls. Once this is done you will only need to divert your phone from your online account and we will take it from there. We allocate you a line of your own, this is also known as a DDI. As a result, your company details will automatically appear on our Virtual Receptionist’s screen, every time a telephone call comes through to us via this number. When one of your clients telephones your line our Virtual Receptionist will answer the phone on behalf of your company. Our Virtual Receptionist will inform your client that you are currently unavailable and ask if they would like to leave a message? Our Virtual Receptionist will take down the details and pass them on to you immediately via email or text message. Furthermore, we will store your messages on your online account, so your can view them whenever needed.

I don’t miss my calls - my calls are diverted to my mobile - How can this help me?
Perhaps there are still times where you have to switch off your mobile, such as meeting etc. Our service will ensure that you can happily switch off your mobile and have your calls professionally answered without losing any business. The majority of customers will not leave a message resulting in you losing business.

How does the Virtual Receptionist know enough about my business to sound professional?
When you sign up for our services you will get a password protected online account. We will ask you to provide the information needed to answer your calls on your behalf. Therefore, when a call comes through the Virtual receptionist will get your details on the computer. You can update the information as often you like from you online account.

How will the Virtual Receptionist know that the call is coming from my company?
You will get your own phone number to divert your calls to. This means that your information will automatically appear on the computer screen when a call comes through and Virtual Receptionist will hear a message in the headset.

What does the Virtual Receptionist say when a call comes through to me?
The Virtual Receptionist will inform your customer that you are unavailable and take a message. If you have given us any specific questions, we will ask those too. We will send you an email with all of the information and you will be able to see your messages on your online account too at any time.

What are your opening hours and what happens after closing time?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. After closing time we have a message informing customers that the office is now closed.

Why should I outsource my E-mail services?

How does the Email service work?
We provide an Email Service as a part of the Soho66 solution. With our email service, subscribers can choose to have multiple mailboxes per customer account. We can also supply multiple domains per customer account if required. We provide SPAM and virus control with our email service. To subscribe to our Email service, you will need to sign up online. It’s it easy, fast and simple. You will be able to administer everything from your online account. We allocate you an email address. However, we can supply you with your own domain name, if you should require so. It is possible to have both multiple domains and mailboxes per customer account.

What size is each mailbox?
The standard mailbox size is 1GB (1000MB).

Does it cost extra to get my own domain name?
We provide Soho66 subdomains for free (e.g. mycompany.soho66.com), for your own domain (e.g. mycomany.com) we will charge you to reserve the domain.
