This is the configuration guide for setting up the CSipSimple application on an Android device.
Pre-requisites
Before you start, you need to know your VoIP username, password and the server that your number is connected to. You can do this from your Soho account, by clicking "My Soho", then "My Numbers", then the telephone number that you wish to connect to. The VoIP username and VoIP password is near the bottom of the page, in a section entitled VoIP Settings.
You will also need the CSipSimple application installed on your phone, this can be found in the Android Market App or at the following URL: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.csipsimple
Configuring your phone
The first time you start CSipSimple it will ask you to add an account, tap "Add account". If you are not asked to add an account press the menu button and tap "Accounts". You will then see a list of VoIP providers to choose from, find and tap "Basic" and enter the following information:
Account Name: Anything you want
User: Your VoIP Username
Server: sip.soho66.co.uk
Password: Your VoIP Password
After entering all of the required settings tap "Save" your new account should now successfully register. Press the back button to return to the CSipSimple main screen.
Once you have entered these settings press the Back twice to return to the SipDroid application, there should now be a green dot in your notification are indicating that SipDroid is registered and ready to make calls.
Setting up to receive Incoming Calls
By default incoming calls are not enabled using CSipSimple to enable incoming calls press the menu button on the CSipSimple main screen and Tap "Settings" and then "Easy configuration". Tap the option that you wish to use in the Availability Profile section. Always available will use more battery power but will enable you to receive calls on both WiFi and 3G, Available on WiFi will enable you to receive calls only when using WiFi, Only for outgoing will disable inbound calling.
