30 July 2011 - Advance notice of planned works

The Data-centre where our servers are housed have advised that there will be scheduled maintenance carried out on the primary networking circuits between 08:00 and 17:00 on Saturday 30 July 2011. Hardware Exchange (London) Power Outage

We have recently been made aware that there is a power outage in the Hardware Exchange, based in London. Although we don't envisage any problems and, have had no reports of problems as yet, we have been advised that some networking systems may be running at reduced capacity until power is restored. A handful of customers may find that, on incoming calls / faxes, a busy tone is experienced during this outage. However, there have been absolutely no reports of this as of yet. We will keep you updated through this page of any developments.

Continuing issues with some VoIP customers

Following a service outage this morning, caused by a third party DNS provider, some customers are continuing to experience issues caused by the earlier issue. This is being caused by some ISPs caching DNS records for longer than they should be retained. If you are still experiencing issues following reboot of your router / phones, then please either get in touch with us, or alter your phones to register against our alternative domain (sip.pebble-tree.co.uk) rather than the default (sip.soho66.co.uk)
